Peace and Hippie Love

I am Denise Rivera, living on this earth for around seventeen years. I blow my candles on October 7, which is under the astrological sign of Libra. I currently reside in Manila, Philippines but I grew up in Cavite, Philippines. I am currently a first year college student in De La Salle - College of Saint Benilde taking up Bachelor of Arts in Multimedia Arts.

My family consists of my Dad, who's always there to support me all the way. My mom, who is super protective of me and cooks the best dishes for me (I sure miss her cooking. Mom, wait for my arrival back in our province!). My older brother, who is currently studying Bachelor of Music in Christian Arts major in Classical Guitar at a university. And our dogs, Yumi and Stan, who always jumps like they're idiots whenever they see us.

I love anime. I have been a self-proclaimed otaku ever since I was introduced to it. That's why I have this craving to attend conventions, buy mangas, action figures, dolls, plush toys, bags, and other merchandises. Whenever I have a stable source of money, I shall try to do cosplaying for fun!

I like graphic designing. I've always wanted to design something out of my talents and tell it to the world through cyberspace. Also, I like reading romance novels, short one-shot stories and mangas. It gives me a good reason to kill boredom.

Music doesn't even like me in the first place, unlike my older brother, but I have some favorites even though I'm not an avid fan of music. I like visual art better. I like listening to Japanese Pop, Japanese Rock, Visual Kei bands, Modern Pop, Rock n' Roll and Screamo. Mostly in my iPod are anime OSTs and music from Visual Kei bands. In television, I only enjoy watching reality shows and comedy shows. I am not an avid moviegoer, so don't bother asking me about movies.

I am perfectly weird in my own way. I am not a retard, a nerd, a jerk, a pain in the ass or something like that. I am talkative in a way that some people don't like me and some people do. I am not a show-off or an egoistical person. It's better to know me in person or trying to approach me would be the best thing to put your impressions.

Talking about love, I am single as of now and don't mind if someone tries to spirit me away. I like a guy that a has a good sense of humor and a gentleman. I hate egoistical bastards. They irritate the hell out of my nerves.
