Halina't Humataw sa Hero Convention!

Hataw! Hanep! Hero Convention: The Amped Edition
The biggest and grandest youth fair in the country
held at November 21-22, 2008 at Silvercity, Pasig City

Photo credits goes to Joyce and Bea

I went to McDonalds in Tanza, Cavite first to gather up with the gang early in the morning. I found Bea, Joyce and Shaider unpatiently waiting for the others. I thought that I was the only one they're waiting. Guess what? I was one of the first ones who arrived there. Shocking, isn't? Those people are again on their VIP mode.

This picture at the left, see what I mean?

We are all waiting for the others to come. We talked that we should be all gathered up exactly at 7 in the morning. Joyce and I got frustrated already. We decided to get in Silvercity by taking up a bus. We fled off! I was kind of embarassed to Bea since she wanted us to go with them. But, they were going to ABS Interactive in Quezon City first to get their tickets. So, we went off already.

Maybe you will just be irritated with the things they will talk about there or you're avoiding someone?
To be honest, my ears will bleed uncontrollably. I know that they will talk things regarding Amped there. It really irritates me, so I want to get in the convention as fast and soon as possible.

Second thing, I am not avoiding someone there. I think he's not comfortable having me around. The same goes for me. Of course, who would be not comfortable if you're always talked about? That thing irritates the both of us. Despite of his quiet demanor, I know of what he's thinking back there. That clears off the topic. Case closed!

What happens next?
Alright, we started off our adventure to Wonderland... I mean, to Silvercity. We caught a bus going to Manila. My gosh! It was full already and the driver still insisted to have the six of us in. We obliged to go in since we have this fiery feeling that we must arrive in the convention earlier than the other group. When we arrived at Baclaran, we caught a cab to take us to Silvercity which took us around 15-30 minutes to arrive there. I really wondered how the six of us fitted inside that cab. It is a sign that I'm more sexier. Leave the dreams alone to me, bitch.

You are now already at the said venue. What did you see?
I saw some cosplayers preparing their costumes and stuffs. I even saw Hard Gay and Jiraiya doing some Yaoi fanservice while we were in the line. Joyce is having major nosebleed as I cringed. I really don't support yaoi but I do accept having them within the society. We took almost 20-35 minutes waiting for the damned line to move out and have the convention to be opened.

As it opened, I immediately looked around to see whether there's a Mokona plush toy. Before that, Jerice saw the Naruto statue at the front lobby and it was showing off some skin. Jerice happily hugged it and laughed her head off. I remember Jin from her journal had some moments there also: [link]

Okay, we roamed around like idiots there. Well, not actually. It is a place where I belong. After all, an anime convention will only attract anime fans and otakus all together in an event. I really don't care about the Amped section there. But, I really wished that it was e-games who was with the Hero Convention since I want to play O2jam for the first time in a convention.

Jerice went off with her classmates way back in elementary, as me and Joyce roamed around and asked the cosplayers if they're kind enough to pose in front of our cameras with them. If I had more time to prepare, I will surely cosplay for myself. Having Moka in Rosario + Vampire wouldn't be that bad, right?

So, where are the others? Have you found them?
Yeah, we found them. We gathered up in the front lobby and they immediately dashed off to the Amped section where they played GetAmped. To be honest, I really don't get the essence of playing that game. I'm a RP gamer, not a combative-strategist player having exemption when it comes into Command and Conquer games.

As you can see in the picture at the right, Shaider is totally serious about that stuff as well as the other people around them. Michael even asked me to get a piece of paper in the so-called "GetAmped fishbowl" to get a specific gear needed for his character. He even placed his ID to me so I could get a piece of paper to him. He's an addict, right? I'll sue if you don't admit it.

There must be chibi cosplayers around the event?
Yes, there is. I saw many chibi cosplayers which are very cute that I can't resist to suck out their blood. Okay, I am sounding like a vampire here. I saw a chibi Naruto from Shippuuden, Kenshin from Rurouni Kenshin, Suzumiya Haruhi from The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. I think I even saw a chibi Vocaloid there. Please do comment if I'm wrong.

Battle of the Bands? Cool. Did they produce good music?
Oh, the bands. They were cool. Cool enough to make me sleep despite of the speakers in their loudest volume. The sound of the speakers shook the core of the Earth that I was dozing off to my slumber. Having my Mokona plush toy as my pillow and Jerice having Kyouya plush toy as her own pillow, we slept. I didn't had the chance to hear the performances of the 3rd band up to the 5th band. I only managed to hear up to the 6th band since I already went home early.

What is the best part for you?
Cosplay Competition is what I loved the most. I loved the creativity of every person showed there. There were different tactics to catch off the audiences' attention. Next is the Dubbing Contest which made me laugh my heart out. Especially the final round wherein the contestants will dub some scene from Naruto Shippuuden having an impromptu script.

Overall, I liked this year's Hero Convention. But I still loved my experience in the Hero Convention in SM-X Convention Center last year.

Hope I will attend to a more grand HeroCon.
Adios!

Math Fest 2008

EDIT: I saw a very interesting comment that made me edit this post. Yes, I agree with you that nothing beats the original. Are you blind? I just mentioned you because I forgot to make my blog entry regarding the fest. Geez, what the hell is going on with people? Is it bad to mention your name and to thank them that their entry made you remember to do something? It is my blog. You should be grateful that you were given credit. Dumb ass.

(Late blog)
Take heed of those words which are emphasized.

For the first time in CNSHS history, we had this ever so-called Math Festival held last November 21, 2008.

I thought having this Math Fest will be the first step to have a school festival just like in other countries wherein other schools are invited to join in the fun and there's a lot of booths prepared by each class like horror house, coffee cafe, tofu shop and so much more. Now, I'm thinking of things which is very impossible for the school to happen.

Alright, it started off to the usual program led by the Liriko for the doxology, which I remembered that I slept or talking quietly with Eugene. After that, flag ceremony. Ok, ok, I got your point, it is the usual thing. Then, they had this speech then the Math Quiz Bee started. We were not allowed to stay in the gymnasium for the first round since it is the elimination set. We were asked to roam around and never stay at the gymnasium until told so to go back. Alright, we went to the canteen since I told my companions that I will die because I didn't ate my breakfast.

The canteen? What a cool place to hang-out.
Me, Tin-Anne, Gerlyn, Joyce and Bea decided to hang-out at the canteen for a while since we're all starving to death. We were there for the first batch of consumers. Yes, I am talking about those people who buy food at the canteen to satisfy their needs. While eating and stuff, Joyce grabbed the camera and took stolen shots of us. It was kind of embarassing, but it was okay since I am well assured that it won't be used for blackmailing purposes.

Joyce and I got a photography fetish afterwards. We like to focus things on every object that we see. Gerlyn came in to join the fun. That's why I am waiting for her upload.

(Will show evidences SOON. Photos are with Gerlyn. As soon as she uploads it on her site, I shall immediately grab it)

I practiced my own skills in focusing stuffs. I grabbed Eugene's camera and tried to focus the jinglers' instrument. I asked Eugene to hold it up for me while I take a good picture of it. I got what I wanted. I posted it on my deviantArt as a deviant entry: [link]

I heard that you went to Naic to do something. What was that?
Oh, we were asked to do some remixing job that only the people in Naic offered their service to do so. We are doing this for Napo's sake since we want him to grab the title of Mr. Mathaba. What's up with that new term? I will discuss it later. Moving on!

Me, Bea and Gerlyn went around the town. As I toured them around the available computer shops aroudn the town, they were kind of disappointed since all of the computer shops were fiull and there's no GetAmped available in most shops. We decided to go back to school after we asked MJB to burn the tracks that we asked for them to do.

Afternoon. What did you do?
We had fun the most in watching Mr. and Ms. Mathaba, just like a pairing contest that only marked that the contestants are fat/chubby. Don't sue me here! Before that, we watched the Math Jingle. The juniors got their trophy again. It was kind of unfair since they were asked to do a jingle and not a cheerdance. Geez, the judging was way so wrong. Hell! The lyrics of the jingle, it was very unappropriate. The seniors tried enough to put up everything and limiting the use of every word in the jingle since it IS a jingle. Good heavens, have mercy on my soul!

While watching Mathaba, the seniors gave their support to their representatives. It was really, really fun. Everyone in the gymnasium was watching our every move. It really feels great. I liked the way we supported Napo since everyone was shouting with the song on his talent portion: "na-na-na-na-napooo~". To add everything up, we were trying to imitate the dance steps he was making there. I was laughing my head off when he and his back-up dancers were doing their things there. It was so freakin' hilarious. Our support went out like a light bulb being hit by a switch. As Rassel, our contender for Ms. Mathaba showed her cooking skills. She was cooking Chicken Cordon Blue which was a very unique talent among those I saw before since it was always singing, dancing or acting.

After declaring that Napo and Rassel got the first place in Mr. and Ms. Mathaba, the seniors went up with their outrageous stampede towards the stage and started dancing there. I even had a video but it is not yet posted in Youtube. I will upload it as soon as possible.

Having a Math Festival in our school wouldn't be that bad, after all.
Adios amigos!

Goal unexpected!

I am feeling down. After all the hardships that we made, all of the sacrifices that we made. Our research study didn't pleased the panelists in Intel Regional Science Fair in Thursday. Of course, who wouldn't feel bad about that. I feel kinda sorry to those who didn't participate in the Division Science Fair Level and will not compete for the Regional Level. Well, it is alright to my part since it is now time to focus on our individual papers.

Isn't this the time to celebrate things up? After all, you're free to this stressful things.
No, this is not yet the time to be confident. I need to finish my individual research paper. After all, it is an individual requirement for graduation. *sigh* What should I do?

Don't feel bad. At least, you had an experience, right?
Totally! Therefore, it won't be that hard to defend to the school panelists since our study was already questioned by the Division Level panelists and the school panelists.

My mood refreshed when I wet online. I watched the animes that I never heard before and never showed in the television. Yep, a full-pledged anime otaku. Since otakus like to see things for themselves. I watched Chaos Head and Kuroshitsuji since I found the plot cool. I like anime with uncliche plots.

This picture above is my banner in Friendstertalk. I want to share my graphic resources to other people so they could use it, of course with my permission. Also, I want to help my parents to acquire money. I could only think of making these things with a certain amount of GCash once I am able to improve myself. I aspire to be a professional in graphic designing. That's why I'm deciding whether I should choose Multimedia Arts as my second choice for my course in college.

Jump & Shout!

C3, a band from Australia came into the country. Their genre is Christian rock. I dragged Joyce to be with me since I want someone to talk to. My supposedly companions are not in my age group (13-16 years old), so that's one of the reasons I dragged her along. The venue is in our church, Cathedral of Praise in Taft Avenue, Ermita, Manila.

C3? What a weird band name. It's like C2, an iced tea drink.
Yes, I find it weird also. But I like their music, you won't expect that it is a gospel music that they're playing. Besides, me and Joyce have hots for their keyboardist. I already searched for him in Myspace.

What you have done is just boy hunting like usual. Tell me about other details.
Some of my companions got pissed off because the girlfriend of my brother was like making everyone wait for 30-minutes to 1 hour before they took off from Cavite to Manila. I do think it is really irritating to be the one that you're only waiting then you'll make other people wait for you too. Who are you anyway, her royal highness to be treated specially? Duh, I don't like to have a future sister-in-law like that if that is the case.

That was interesting. What happened next?
Nothing really. We let it pass by since we're going to the church anyway. What is the essence of the things you keep on hearing if you don't apply them in everyday life, right?

All in all, it was good to attend this concert. Too band, my other bandmates didn't watch the live. Oh well, at least me and Joyce had fun and we rocked the world for God!

Invoke, Explore, Evolve!

$999. Where the hell can I get that big money to buy a software that I've always wanted? You must be wondering what the hell am I talking about? I'm talking about Adobe Photoshop CS4. That's right, the latest version of the Photoshop Creative Suite has arrived in this generation and it is a must-have for aspiring graphics designers like me to have that software. How I could crack the code so I can have it for free just like what I did in Photoshop CS3 Extended.

What is the difference of CS4 to other Creative Suite series?
You can actually paint 3D designs and combine them into 2D images. It has Fluid canvas rotation where you no longer to tilt your head according to the canvas because of such things that you wanted to do in that image. Smoother panning and scanning and so much more. I so envy the rich people and the professional graphic designers and web designers who have this already. At least, they are not "nahuhuli" in their softwares.

What is my point here?
I personally want that software since I'm very envious already. Even though, I already have two versions of Photoshop here in my desktop computer and one version in my dad's laptop [which I don't use that much], I want that latest version. Yes, I am being paranoid because of that software. Sometimes, I think that I'm already crazy because of these things. Oh well, this is what I love. It makes me happy.

I already have Photoshop, should I be content with what I have?
I know this is a very stupid question because I know that I should be content already. But my hands are trembling and my eyes wander for that CS4 thing. Oh darn. I must have a disease already.

What am I doing lately? I'm into manga colouring for these past few days. Since I don't want to be a bother to my online buddy, I've decided if I know how to colour manga, I can put up a business by setting their requests and paying me via GCash. How I wish I can be good already in this stuff so I can earn money and even help my parents for our living. Even though, it's just a sideline job for me and nobody seems to care about it, I still wanted to try it. I might not know that it will be that effective.

Any plans in this week? Yes, of course. I'll be going to the C3's concert here in Manila. Since the tickets are free, why should I miss this opportunity to miss bands from other country? By the way, their music genre is Pop Rock, so I guess I'll enjoy their rhythm and songs. Want to go with me? The transportation is free! Going there and back is free.

I am listening to my favorite band as of this moment. I just realized that they're cool. Even though, I blabber them too much, it seems that I really appreciate Japanese music more than local music and Western music. I don't know. Maybe, I'm amuzed on how they present their music to other countries. Plus, Kanon's too hard to resist. xD

I've finally done it!

Are you seeing this picture on the left side of this post? That's right. I'm really doing this. I'm gonna buy that damn album of An Cafe! It is the latest album of An Cafe in dedication for their 5th year anniversary.

Now, my only problem is how to pay this in Western Union or in LBC. Will somebody be kind enough to accompany me in this stuff?

Misadventures @ Rockwell

Yeah, we went to Rockwell/Power Plant since it was a special day to us. It is because our connect group leader received a gift certificate to eat in C2 restaurant in Rockwell. So, here we go to Makati.

First off, we went to Cathedral of Praise - Manila to wait for him. In the meantime, some of them prayed in the prayer room while myself was wandering around Emilio Aguinaldo College and Mini-Stop. Quite good, right? Alas, he has arrived. We shall now go Rockwell.

I told you, I wasn't lying about this one. Considering Rockwell as one of the malls created for A-B social class. I do not belong here. I'm in level C. We have funds but we don't use it for luxury and stuffs. We are practical indeed. So that's why, I long for my cousin's PSP even though it is the old version.

It came to my mind that it was my first time to be there. It was a great experience though. It was like Trinoma, put more "kaartehan" in their interior designs.

We ate in C2 restaurant. I can't believe that I got attracted by the presentation of the food. The dishes are only simple. Those things that we eat here in the province are their primary dishes. Yes, I'm utterly disappointed about that. Their noodles only tasted like luglog here in the province. But, the rice was frickin' smellin' good, baby!

After that, we got dozens of picture taking 'coz there's a snow bear stuffs around the building so we've decided to check that one out and take pictures. You check my Friendster for more pictures.

At least, we've experienced getting inside Rockwell.

Boredom kills a vain person

Semestral break. A week where students take a break from their homeworks, projects or whatsoever related to school. The thing is, I don't feel that it is our sem break because of the things the school left to us to work on. Well, I can't blame them because they need some business to attend to like seminars and stuffs.

Truly, this week is boring. I didn't went home to Nueva Ecija because it's hard to go back. So we just visited our loved ones resting in peace here in Cavite. We offered them flowers, prayed for their souls and went back to our homes.

Shoot, I am not yet done with my assignments. I need to cram now. Yeah, this is my bad habit that I am having a hard time to change this. Even though, I'm trying to do some assignments earlier than scheduled, it seems like I'm doing it in a very long period of time.
