And we'll meet a whole new world

Spending a part of your life in high was really fun. I met people who were strangers at first, and some of them became a part of my circle and some of them became my haters (which I absolutely ignore since we have no ties). Years full of happiness, sorrow and a lot of cramming in homework. Four years of great, fun-filled experiences that were cherished and it's kind to say that I have to leave my dear Alma Mater to face a bigger world: the world of reality.

Graduation Day. It makes me feel sad about it. Leaving behind my Alma Mater, the people who entered my social circle, the people who made my existence reasonable, the people who helped me to stand on my own feet. I had arrived at this point of life that there is a need to say goodbye. Yes, it is hard, but we need to depart in order to move on. Facing new challenges without the friends will prove that you are indeed capable of standing within your own feet.

Saw this on the freshmen bulletin board. It made me cry. Even though, you only think that it's nothing. To me, it has been the fruit of my hard work spent in high school. I was moved into tears but I tried to restrain myself to keep the tears from flowing. After all, that moment will be reserved up to the last.

It was one hot afternoon when we got ourselves prepared. I especially wanted to make my hair look have volume, so the hairdresser decided to curl it. I was at my classmate's house when I was preparing. Applying light make-up, and we're all set to our awaited day. As we set foot upon the venue, I noticed that my batchmates were going all crazy. They were nervous as hell. Yep, I do feel nervous and at the same time, excited.

The time of receiving diplomas and awards. Listening to the addresses. Enjoying every last moment that you had with the whole batch, especially to your classmates and friends. You'll surely miss everything and made you reminisce all those silly things that you've done for the past years. You wouldn't believe yourself that you really made it. You would have to look on your diploma over and over again to had it register on your mind.

We will settle to different courses, into different colleges and universities and into different places. We will all face a whole new different world. Again, we shall start from the basics. Hopefully, we can all adjust to the new world we'll be facing to.

DLS-CSB Blazing Experience

De La Salle - College of Saint Benilde is a member De La Salle Philippines, which compromised of 17 schools here in the Philippines. It is a private Catholic college located right in front of De La Salle University - Manila in Taft Avenue, Malate, Manila.

I applied as a late applicant for the entrance examination, and because of that I have to abide in their rules and regulations regarding on my case. I signed a contract that I, as a late applicant, will not complain on their test results but also on the availability of the slots. I had my classmates, Tin-Anne and Gerlyn with her mom, to accompany me. Since they will also pass their application forms to Adamson University which I had to think it over if I'm going to pass mine, too.

I hate the scheduled test date. It was March 15. A night before that was my Junior-Senior Promenade, a night that surely I want to spend up until morning. Hell no, I am in my testing area early in the morning to take the stupid entrance exam. I am very convinced that those foreign students made my blood boil since I woke up into a very bad mood.

As I entered my test room, it was freezing fuckin' cold. Good thing, I brought a jacket which was indicated on the reminders. I had a slight headache at the time I was taking up the English subtest. My sleep only lasted for 4 hours and I can't stand that. I am used sleeping only 5 hours, but not 4 hours or less.

Here comes the hard part. The Mathematics subtest. I quite remembered on DLSU-M's entrance test, most of them are Trigonometry and Geometry. Here in DLS-CSB, there a lot of Business Mathematics here. The problem is, I haven't took that as an elective on my sophomore level in high school. I really regret having Botany as my Elective subject back then. As time finishes, I haven't got the chance to answer 15-20 last questions of the subtest. Since then, I started praying to God to have me pass that damn exam.

Here comes the fast round. If you're familiar with visual representations during exams, you'll have to answer around 30 items of those things within only 8 minutes. At first, I started to panic. I shaded every circle I think would be the best answer. When I had 2 minutes to spare, I started reviewing my answers and most of them are wrong. I immediately grabbed my eraser and repeated them all over again. Good thing, I made it at time.

If you're planning to take their entrance exams in the future, why not follow some of my tips? It wouldn't harm you anyway.

- Bring jacket/sweater and make sure you're wearing pants and shoes. 'Coz it's damn cold inside their rooms more than DLSU-M.

- Again, don't bother to bring snacks to eat. You'll be only given a 15-minute break only to be used for restroom purposes.

- Luckily, there's no essay writing in DLS-CSB. Though, you have to look carefully at those damn visual representations. It can make you go dizzy.

- Have your pencils sharpened.

- Stay relaxed while taking up the exam. Don't mind other people sneezing, coughing or whatsoever. Just concentrate and relax.

- Pursuade one of your classmates to take the entrance exam, too. As for my case, I haven't pursuaded anyone and I'm alone. I spent my remaining 5-minute break texting with Gerlyn. Make sure you're subscribed to unlimited services.

I do hope I can pass this exam, too!
From now on, I wanted an Art course. I blame my NCAE results for this one.

Next stop, Asia Pacific College in Makati.

Junior-Senior Promenade

It was hell of a night. As Cinderella leaves the castle before the clock strikes twelve, her Prince picked up her glass slipper and started to search for his princess.

I went to Gerlyn's house after lunch to had my hair and make-up fixed since she knows a hairdresser and make-up artist who lives near her place. I was very frustrated with my nails since I wanted to apply French tips on it, but there's no more time. The program will start at exact 7:00 in the evening and my hair is not yet done.

The hairdresser has started to work her magic upon me, like every fairy grandmother would do to the heroine. There were a lot of pins and hairspraying done to my hair. I pity it now. Since my hair is shoulder-length and layered, it was hard to think of a good hairstyle at first. But she managed to do something out of my hair style.

After finishing to the hair styling, she proceeded to my face. Yes, it was make-up. She applied foundation unto my face and let her do her tricks. While I was watching a classic movie in the television since I was very bored. As soon as she finished applying everything, I looked upon myself in a mirror and was surprised on how good she was able to apply make-up. I hoped that I could learn to wear and apply make-up too.

Alas, we had arrived in the venue. It wasn't that magical like what Cinderella described. But I was amazed to the effort that the faculty has made to make the plain, boring hall would have a different aura just for the said event. The lights were dimmed, and the Cinderella's fairy tale story begins.

There were a lot of dancing and merrymaking. I hoped that I could spend the night with everyone, but fairygodmother's magic only works up to twelve midnight. I had to prepare myself physically and mentally because tomorrow will be my entrance exam in DLS-CSB. So, I was forced to go home early. Thus, Cinderella has immediately left the castle grounds quietly at once. I only informed my close friends that I will be departing.

I was informed that Tin-Anne and Aaron were the Prom King and Queen of the night, Eugene and Gerlyn as Senior Sweethearts, Ervin had the best in suit while Serene as best in gown and Rubel as the Head Turner of the night. I am happy for them to receive those awards. Too bad, I wasn't there to witness the awarding.

The prom will last up to 5:00 in the morning, which I do believe I already awake by that time. I've received a newsfeed that he's actually spotting me if I was still there. You're too late my Prince, my fairygrandmother has taken me away before you knew that I am an examinee.

At least, I experienced having a Promenade. That's what all it matters.
I have a big day ahead of me. De La Salle - College of Saint Benilde, here I come!
